1993 Heritage Softail, complete conversion, "Softail Bagger "

Trying to come up with a plan to resurect a 1993 Heritage Softail that had seen better days. I picked it up in March of 2022, not running and looking fairly stock - but on closer inspection, the motor and trans were shot and the primary was not all there. All the sheet metal needed replacing and there was quite a bit of rust and gunk and oxidation throughout. There wasnt much chance of rebuilding it as a stock Heritage, it would cost way more than it would be worth. After mulling it over, I had an '07 Road King that I converted to a mild big wheel bagger (See it HERE) a couple of years ago and I kinda wanted to try another Stretched out Bagger.

I kept the stock frame, just added a pair of chrome Ultima adjustable shocks and kept the stock oil tank. The motor and tranny were definitely a no-go, not rebuildeable economically. But I had an 06 ElectraGlide basket case (rear ended wreck) that had 42K miles on it. The motor looked good so I replaced the Cam Chain Tensioner Shoes, installed S&S adjustable Pushrods, 2 into 1 Header and a rebuilt CV carb off a 2001 Dyna. Next I added an Ultima 6 speed overdrive transmission, with 2" Beltdrive and 2.4Kw starter. I like the looks of Heritage Forks with the big headlight and spots and turn signals but the old forks were spongy and a leaking seal. I took the complete tubes, lower legs and dual brake calipers off the 2006 touring and matched them to the Heritage triple trees, with the heritage covers, lights and chopped windshield. Added some headlight and spotlight and turn signal visors to give it a little attitude. I installed a late model style chopped low profile Tourpac that can switched out with the round chrome sissey bar.The hand and foot controls & floorboards are all stock Heritage with new rebuilds on all the calipers and master cylinders. Wire Harness is off 2001 carbureted Dyna Glide with new 3 phase 38 amp charging system. Replaced all the sheet metal with a 4.8 gallon stretched fuel tank, custom chopped 23" front full fender and then adapted the late model style rear section, a 6" stretched down & out, full Fiberglass Fender and Saddlebags. All rolling on brand new KingSpoke Chrome wheels and new Metzeler ME-888 blackwall tires, 23" on front and 16" on rear with new Kingspoke Chrome pulley. Saddlebag lids have enclosures for 2 6 x 9 speakers and I just ordered a 400 watt Blutooth stereo and speakers as the final touch on this beauty. I also plan to finish polishing the paint this week, a metallic black with complimentary wrinkle black touches here and there.

This 1993 Heritage Softail has been completely reconstructed into a Custom Softail Bagger. Looks great and rides like a dream. I currently have the shocks slammed all the way down but could be raised an inch or two even. Asking $7500 OBO. You wont find a stretched bagger this cool for this price.
